It’s a nice blog.
This will be used for all my random musings. I kind-of wish that “thelettera” wasn’t taken by some chick named Ashley who hasn’t updated since her very first two-sentence post in 2003, but them’s the breaks (brakes?) I guess. I’ll be “tlettera” for now. For the most part, I won’t clog up this mofo with stupid depressing crap that ruins everyone’s day; I have a private one that only I can read for that. This one will just have stuff that’s going on in my life, on a day-to-day basis.
I also sometimes need an opportunity to be completely insane and/or freewrite. I created yet another blog for that, located here, though I suspect it might get profane sometimes, I don’t know. Who knows if I’ll even use it?
Anyway, a little about me, I guess. First of all, I’m a sucker for foreign languages. I’m not fluent in any yet, because, well, I guess I don’t have any excuse for it. However, I consider myself fairly intermediate in my learning process in regards to Japanese and Spanish. So once I get better at those, expect to see a few posts here and there in those languages (でも私の文法はよくないよ) every once in a while.
If you can’t see the Japanese above, and you want to, direct your attention here, and all your problems will be solved. If you want to be able to type in languages such as Japanese, Chinese, and Korean, among many many others (using just a regular roman-lettered keyboard), you’ll have to install the IME. Neither of these techniques require the Windows install discs, though if you’re using something other than Windows XP, I can’t guarantee that.
I’m also a big fan of music. I’m playing around with the idea of having a little area on the sidebar where I can embed whatever particular youtube video has been amusing me recently (for the record, at the moment it’s this one). I’m a trumpet player and am currently involved in both brass ensemble and jazz band at my college. Earlier in the year I was also in marching band.
What else? I guess that’s about it. I’ll write more later. I just felt like writing a lot about random stuff. Thanks for reading.
